Basics to Dance

Each and every person has a unique brand of movement, understanding of music, and learning style. Within any type of movement, we make sure to bring out the best quality within your child’s learning, expand that knowledge and encourage them to become their fullest potential as a dancer.

In this session, we aim to achieve the following for each child:

  • Rigorous training in movement, performance & stage presence

  • Expanding range, flexibility & development of movement

  • Enhance a child’s creativity & improvisational skills

  • Gain social encouragement within a group of their peers

  • Accessing the fundamentals of professionalism, creating more focus & mental discipline

  • Essentially, provide a preview to the standards of learning in the career of young professional dancers and choreographers of the dance community and dance industry

Learning Movement & Vocabulary

We bring a different light to each lesson of dance and bring your child’s abilities to a level that is more knowledgeable, adequately refined, near to perfection and professional over time, and definitely enjoyable.

We assess each students' levels, knowledge and styles of learning, determine the best learning paths to incorporate into the lesson and bring a "natural movement" approach of training and dance education.

In alliance with 3 Be3ts Dance Company, this is to provide a collaborative & supportive environment as well as actively develop a person's life, culture and well-being. We strive to take a step further and deeper within the mind of the person who is learning and find one's "True Inner Self" as a dancer.

Benefits of Dancing for Kids

Dance is a powerful ally for developing many of the attributes of a growing child. Dance helps children mature physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively. The physical benefits of dance are widely accepted, as well as appreciation for the emotional, social and cognitive attributes.

Physical Development:

  • Greater range of motion, coordination, strength & endurance

  • Movement patterns teach coordination & kinesthetic memory

  • Utilizes entire body & excellent total body fitness

  • Allows young children an avenue to expand movement possibilities and skills

Emotional Maturity:

  • Promotes psychological health & maturity

  • Opportunity for children to express emotions & become aware of themselves through creative movement

  • A structured outlet for physical release whilst gaining awareness and appreciation of oneself & others

Social Awareness:

  • Fosters social encounter, interaction and cooperation

  • Learn to communicate ideas through real & immediate mode of body movement

  • Learn to work within a group dynamic

  • An ongoing & sometimes challenging process of cooperation evolves and children gain understanding of themselves in relation to others

Cognitive Development:

  • Young children will create movement spontaneously

  • Movement provides the cognitive loop between idea, problem, or intent and the outcome or solution

  • Teaches an infant, child, and ultimately, adult to function in & understand the world

  • Correlation to the relationship of movement to intellectual development & education is a field of study recently begun to be explored
